Tumbarumba Historical Society Museum in the Bridge Street Visitor Information Centre is open seven days per week (10 am to 4 pm). It contains a wealth of local history and
features an extensive display depicting the tragedy and mystery of the Southern Cloud . Available also are a range of free pamphlets for self guided walks covering the town and many nearby
areas. The guides to the Burra Creek Goldfields and to the scene of the 1864 murder of Sergeant David Maginnity by bushranger Dan Morgan will be of special interest to locals and visitors
alike. Learn some history as you exercise and take in our beautiful countryside.

21-28 October 2009 - Local vignerons clean up in Australian awards!
Mal Barclay's grapes harvested in 2005 were made into the "best sparkling wine" at the 2009 NSW Wine Awards (details from Tumbarumba Times 21 Oct 09).
